Tie The Knot Welcomes Guest Bartenders for pride!

For this year's Pride Collection, Tie The Knot and The Tie Bar were excited to announce our first Guest Bartenders during Pride to promote our 2018 Pride Collection! We were honored to have Brock & Chris of @yummertime, Will of @brightbazaar, Aaron of @themodernotter, and Diego of @diegodowntown

Pride has always been an important time for our community so we asked our Guest Bartenders to share more about what Pride means to them. Scroll down to hear what they said!

For Brock and Chris, "Pride stands for how far we've come, amidst all the glitter and rainbows and colorful floats, gratitude for those who came and struggled before us. It's a time to celebrate the fact that love comes in all forms, all shapes and sizes, and should have no boundaries, no limits. Be love. That's it. We still have a long ways to go, and we've come such a long way already. And so, to us, Pride represents a breath of fresh air, for a moment, where we can stand loving together."

Diego of @diegodownton

"Pride is a time for the LGBTQ community to come together to celebrate and embrace our diversity. We are all a part of the human fabric and each person contributes their own unique color to that fabric. Having Pride is important in order to love yourself and others." - Diego

"I’m intolerant of inequality. I’m marrying my partner in November! That wasn’t even an option a few years ago. We have come so far in our fight for equality because our community stood together to change the hearts and minds of others. I owe so much to those that came before me and recognize how important visibility and unity are in effecting change. I think Pride means standing strong in your convictions and not apologizing for who you are. It means living your life as authentically as you can and fighting for those who can't. I am thrilled to share Tie The Knot’s message of individuality and their support of organizations that champion the civil rights of the LGBTQ+ community.” - Aaron Wester

Will Taylor of @brightbazaar

Will Taylor of @brightbazaar

"I'm delighted to support Tie The Knot's efforts to advance and improve LGBTQ equality and rights to marriage around the world. I think it can be easy to assume that once a country grants the right to members of the LGBTQ community to marry, that there's no longer a need for a fight for their rights. Sadly, this is far from the reality, which means the work of organizations like Tie The Knot are essential to raising awareness and support for LGBTQ equality." - Will Taylor

We were honored to have these Guest Bartenders represent Tie The Knot and help us spread equality this summer! Proceeds from the Pride Collection will go to support organizations on the frontlines of equality.
