Tie The Knot Launches Fall Bow Tie Collection

We are happy to announce our latest collection of limited edition bow ties launching today!

The latest collection includes the addition of actor Colton Haynes and three of the top menswear industry bloggers: Marcel Floruss (One Dapper Street), Moti Ankari (The Metro Man), and Nathan McCallum (Bangarang Blog) to Tie The Knot’s extensive list of guest designers. The collection will be available exclusively at The Tie Bar and $20 of every $25 purchase will be donated directly back to Tie The Knot for our LGBTQ advocacy efforts.

This season’s guest designers, actor Colton Haynes and bloggers Marcel Floruss (One Dapper Street), Moti Ankari (The Metro Man), and Nathan McCallum (Bangarang Blog) each created a one-of-a-kind bow tie to support Tie The Knot.

“I am so happy to help support Jesse & Justin - and Tie The Knot - with their fun and impactful approach to advocating for LGBTQ equality,” said Haynes. “Tie The Knot combines two very important aspects of my life - fashion and equality. It has never been so easy to support an important cause, and I am glad to be part of it.”

The 16 custom designs come in a variety of saturated jewel and earth tone hues of navy, crimson, brown, olive, and dusted blues. Tie The Knot and the guest designers each drew inspiration from past memories, travel, or personal style and mixed it with vintage prints; recreated with a modern twist through the latest on-trend colors, textures, and fabrications. A whimsical piece of the past meets a touch of the present day.

Tie The Knot Rededicates Itself to LGBTQ Equality Worldwide

Advocating for LGBTQ equality around the world and looking damn good while doing it.

With the launch of our fall bow tie collection, we are excited to announce Tie The Knot is rededicating itself to advocate for LGBTQ equality around the world and full federal equality here in the United States.

When Tie The Knot was founded in 2012 by Modern Family's Jesse Tyler Ferguson to advocate for marriage equality throughout the United States, only six states and Washington D.C. recognized marriages for same-sex couples. Today, having raised over $500,000 – three years and forty-four states later – the initial Tie The Knot goal of realizing full federal marriage equality was accomplished in June 2015. Same-sex couples across the country can marry in all 50 states and have their marriages recognized.

But there is still more work to do. In over thirty states, LGBTQ Americans lack federal protections in the workplace and are denied equal housing protection. Over 50% of LGBTQ Americans live in a state where they may be denied services based on their sexual orientation and gender identity. Of the 1.6 million homeless youth in the United States, 40% identify as LGBTQ (compared to 7% of the general youth population) and an overwhelming majority name being ‘forced out’ or ‘ran away’ due to family conflict as the reason for their homelessness.

Tie The Knot has rededicated itself to advocating for comprehensive federal protections nationwide and LGBTQ equality around the world by financially supporting front-line organizations fighting for equality and human rights.

We are excited to move forward with this new goal in mind, and we are grateful for your continued support! Remember, 100% of profits from all Tie The Knot partnership products are donated back to Tie The Knot to support impactful organization around the globe that are advocating for LGBTQ equality!
