Tie The Knot Launches Bundo Bow Tie With John Oliver In Support of Trevor Project and AIDS United

We are excited to announce a limited edition bowtie honoring the fame of Marlon Bundo, aka Bunny of the United States (BOTUS) launching on March 19th. The design follows the viral success of the children’s book Last Week Tonight with John Oliver Presents a Day in the Life of Marlon Bundo, which details a fictional story of the Vice President’s real-life pet having a same sex romance with another rabbit. The Marlon Bundo bow tie will be available exclusively online and in-store (Boston, Chicago, DC, New York, Philly) at The Tie Bar, with $20 of every $25 purchase being donated directly back to Tie The Knot.

Drawing inspiration directly from Marlon’s illustrations, the bowtie design is both formal and whimsical, perfect for anyone looking to make a political statement while “hopping” out on the town. The end result is an abstract multi-colored dot print that’s playful and fun, but also never forgets the importance of the ongoing equality battle it conveys.
